- (Question): Describe a lesson plan that you have developed what were the objectives, the format of the lesson, and how did you evaluate whether or not the objectives were achieved.
- (Answer): I develop a lesson in which students had to write a poem that included figurative language. The format was that students had to create the poem in Microsoft Word and submit it via Edmodo. I know whether students achieved the objective or not based on the rubric.
- (Question): How would you handle a student who is a consistent behavioral problem n your class?
- (Answer): I would first ask the student to stop the problem behavior. If the student doesn’t stop, I would try to “redirect” the student by giving them an alternative assignment. If that doesn’t work, I ask them to step outside so that we can have a conversation about behavior.
- (Question): What would a visitor in your class see?
- (Answer): A visitor would see engaged, well-behaved students having fun learning, and on every happy teacher.
- (Question): What provision have you made for the gifted?
- (Answer): Gifted students are allowed more autonomy in class. I often ask them to tutor other students. They are frequently the leaders of articles and discussing. Sometimes they are given extra enrichment activities or extra requirements for existing activities. Lastly, they are given reading assignments at very high Lexie levels.
